The island is almost completely encircled by a reef, which harbors a beautiful lagoon and many inviting white sand beaches. Most resorts offer Island Nights, with Polynesian dancing and a traditional feast with food cooked in an “Umu.” Rarotongan Markets - On Saturday mornings, visit the Raro markets for pearls, postcards, souvenirs, or just to browse and meet the locals.
